A community minded, hardworking, dedicated, and experienced Law Enforcement Officer; ready to serve the residents of Madison County, NC as Sheriff.  Equipped with 39 years of extensive Law Enforcement experience, training, teaching, and professionalism.

Robin Lyles is a 1983 Graduate of Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College's BLET program. After graduation from AB-Tech, Robin served the public as an Officer at the Asheville Police Department for 27 years. During his time at APD, Robin Lyles gained multiple field specialization certifications and awards. Forensic Science, Evidence Preservation & Photography, NC BLET Certified Instructor (1996), and a NC Justice Academy Instructor. Lyles was also a specialist in motor vehicle crash reconstruction and crash reduction. Robin has significant case experience in Homicide and Robbery, White-collar crimes, and Traffic Enforcement.

In January 2010, Robin joined the Madison County Sheriff's Office, as a sworn Deputy. He worked under the current Administration of the Madison County Sheriff's Department from January 2010-November 2021; working in the Courts, Patrol, Transport, and as an active Investigation Assistant.
