Hello,

My name is Melissa Sluder and I am running for Madison County School Board Chair.
I am qualified to lead as the school board chair because I am involved. I have 2 children that attend School in this county and I have volunteered in many ways as President and Vice President in the PTO, Fall Festivals and Book Fairs.

I am invested in the quality and content of the education they and others are receiving. I live to serve and have great communication skills, working with challenging tasks to see positive outcomes.

As a nurse, I am trained to use critical thinking skills and make tough decisions.

I believe we can be better together by having an open door policy, transparency and accountability. Parental and guardian Involvement as priority and Focus on hiring and retention of full time teachers and support staff.
